$2,897,000 verdict
July 1, 2015

Alexandra de Saint Phalle, as lead counsel, obtained a verdict of $2,897,000 in a medical malpractice case in Macon County on June 24, 2015, on behalf of Barbara Jackson v. Decatur Memorial Hospital and Steven E. Weber, M.D., Case No 2014-L-4 after a 7 day jury trial. In the case, Ms. de Saint Phalle argued that Dr. Weber performed the wrong surgical procedure for treatment of Barbara Jackson's rectal prolapse. Attorneys for Dr. Weber argued in opposition that the operation he employed was consistent with the standard of care. The jury found that Dr. Weber and Decatur Memorial Hospital were negligent and awarded $2,897,000 in damages.

On October 3, 2013, Londrigan, Potter, & Randle P.C. client Rashaud Brown walked out of Federal Court a free man after a jury found him not guilty of possessing drugs with the intent to distribute them. Doug Quivey represented Mr. Brown. According to an Illinois Times article about the case, the not-guilty verdict was the first one in Federal Court in Springfield in over ten years. According to the article, between the years 2007 and 2012, only three federal criminal cases out of 2,137 in Springfield, Peoria, Urbana, and Rock Island resulted in not quilty verdicts. Mr. Brown and his family were very appreciative of Mr. Quivey's efforts.
